Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse

Start Date: January 2027, with the potential for an earlier start date

Actual Salary: £26,509 - £29,263 per annum, dependent on relevant experience, skills and qualifications 

Working Arrangements: Full time, working all year round

40 hours per week. Shifts - Rotation of early/mid/late shits (between the hours of 7:30am and 6:16pm

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly collaborative and child focussed early years practitioner with a full and relevant Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification to join our nursery.

Providing exceptional care to child aged between 3 months and 3 years, successful candidates will have previous experience working with children and be able to demonstrate a creative and nurturing approach to children's play and learning.  Excellent communication skills, flexibility and a positive attitude are important in the role. 

A good understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding is essential and will be assessed at interview.

Key responsibilities of a Nursery Nurse include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting Room Leaders in the planning and delivery of exciting and enriching play and learning opportunities
  • Undertaking observational records of the children
  • Being responsible for the care routines of the children in the room / key worker group, ensuring they are undertaken to a high standard
  • Actively supporting a two-way flow of information between the nursery and the parents / carers of the children
  • Build strong relationships with parents and work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals

The Person

You will:

  • Hold a valid Level 3 or above EYFS qualification
  • Demonstrate a positive, flexible and supportive approach
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children and parents
  • Show a strong commitment to child-centred learning and development
  • Be able to evidence a good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding practices
  • Hold a valid paediatric first aid qualification, or be willing to undertake the training
  • Be a flexible and collaborative team member
